Hola...Kris, how is the jury thing going ;)? As to painting ceilings--call Shaggy--Carol you will feel so good to get that room done. My dad built this house and I wonder about some of the things he did--but so far my contractor was able to hang 6 doors today (BEAUTIFUL AND HUGE DIFFERENCE) in 6 hours--so things look square so far :) It is amazing what a difference these doors have made...much painting upcoming for me too but being able to see such a change has motivated me greatly...Tree guy, a long-time family friend is giving me an unbeatable price for my tree work--swamp maples buh bye :) that I can actually start to breathe...
Kris--how is life as a juror? This weekend does not sound like one to get much done outside--I KNOW you love working outside but we'll get there and I'll NEVER be done here..LOL psst--get Shaggy to paint for you :)

I am thinking of doing my ceilings in the lr and kitchen next month...they need done so bad. Good thing to do right before spring cleaning........
Guess it is to rain all weekend...ugh...wish I could get outside and get some work done...I'm jealous...everyone will be done and I will not even be started....lmao....

OMG what a disaster !! Hopefully it will all get cleaned up soon. Wicked winter for sure, so much damage everywhere. good luck Therese.

Shaggy and I have been priming all day,she did most of it I must say. At some point the room is going to look really nice, I hope. "What were they thinking when they built this house" has been the question of the day !! Just get it done and don't worry about the "little'" things I am sure would have been their answer. since the original owners now live a few doors away, Shaggy really wanted to pay them a visit !!!

whew...another busy morning around here...took a perimeter walk with tree guy and unbelievable damage...I will share a picture so you can see one of my fun adventures!

yes I am pulling money out of the air..LOL...probably could have called my homeowners but some of the damage was existing and I really hate "using" the system so-to-speak....but a couple thousand more than I had expected...but with the windows I will get the 1500 credit so I think if you can swing it..its a good time to do it...so that is effectively making the windows cost 177 as I need 15--not getting my doors now though....are 30% so that is huge for me too...I do believe in a couple years they will pay for themselves...I hope anyway :)

Heater--LOL--still the original heater here as well...can't even think about that or I'd be in a sanitarium..LMAO

Any windows that are at least a double paine window has to be efficient...I have single paine...and I can stand beside them and feel the cold...happy that you are getting them...I need windows and a new heating unit...my unit is also 45 yrs old....

Kris...I researched windows out the wazoo...I can even get them wholesale from a friend of my brother's but to have them installed, removed etc...its a lot...I am mtg company I am using tomorrow...277 installed, removed, vinyl foam--higher grade and soft low e than necessary for the 1500 tax credit..some of our windows are cracked and they're 52 years old I believe...gonna have to help my heating and cooling bills...this is the absolute best price and quality I could find--except the customer service sales lady is an azz...I am having the owner write in my contract that if I get the windows I get his cell and home phone numbers as I WILL NOT DEAL with her...she is THAT bad...UGH

Hello LADIES :) Truly been crzy busy here of late...to get an appnt with her former transplant surgeon requires an act of God...but did get one...damage in rear of house being repaired...so much more $ than I had anticipated...but I'm doing it and window guy will be here on Wedn--just as an fyi effective in April if your house is older that 38 years and you get windows replaced, epa is adding an average of 75 to 100 bucks a window for removal....

Kris--if I hit the lottery I will send you a memory foam bed...it has made a HUGE difference but agree with Carol that a seat cushion would be a good idea...

Carol-you must be in heaven being able to get outside!

We need this weather so badly--good for the soul and old bones :)

Well....I was not surprised either...just upset...but I have to deal with 30 yr olds in my office that "know everything,,,they must have gotten there doctor, lawyer, you name it because there is nothing they don't know..on top of talking from 8-4:30..my throat would be dry if I talked that much..lmao.....well....I love AC...I am so hooked on the beach..just sit there...and dream...It is really not the slots ..just am stuck inside soo much at work...they when I go it forces me to be outside...love it...if I lived there..beach it would be.....
I am hoping to make short trip in May..then a longer one in maybe July...not sure....
